• Tube condition: Inspect the surface of the water pipe for cracks, hardening, stickiness, bulges, or damage. If rubber water pipes lose elasticity and do not rebound when pressed, they are aged and need replacement. If silicone water pipes exhibit delamination or debonding, they should also be replaced promptly.
• Fittings and clamps: Check the connection points between both ends of the water pipe and the radiator, engine block for coolant leakage traces (typically white crystalline deposits or residual green/pink liquid). Inspect whether the clamps are loose or rusted; if the clamps have insufficient elasticity, replace them with stainless steel clamps to prevent water pipe detachment due to clamp failure.
• Ancillary components: Some lower radiator water pipes are equipped with internal spiral springs. Ensure that the springs are not fallen off or deformed to prevent the water pipe from being sucked flat by the water pump suction. Check the branch fittings of bypass water pipes and heater water pipes to avoid missed faults caused by fitting cracks.
