Expansion Tank Hose is a small-diameter rubber or plastic hose that connects the Expansion Tank/Reservoir to the engine cooling system (typically the water inlet side of the water pump or the top of the radiator). It is used to perform the functions of overflow, reabsorption, and degassing of the coolant during thermal expansion and contraction.

Specific function:

• Overflow Channel When the coolant temperature rises and its volume expands, excess liquid flows into the expansion tank through this hose to prevent excessive system pressure.
• Suction Refilling After the engine is turned off and cooled, the system generates negative pressure. Coolant in the expansion tank is re-suctioned back into the main circuit to maintain the liquid level.
