Mechanical failure
1. Linkage wear / Connecting rod deformation
The sensor is connected to the lower control arm/axle of the suspension via a link. Long-term jolting, collisions, or aging of rubber bushings can lead to wear of the link ball joint and bending deformation of the connecting rod.
2. Mounting bracket looseness / Bracket fracture
Loose fixed bolts, rusted brackets (especially sensor brackets in the chassis location), or impact from external forces causing bracket breakage
3. Sensor housing damage / Foreign matter blockage
Cracks in the housing caused by pebbles hitting the chassis, driving through water or muddy roads; dust and sand entering the sensor interior, blocking the light holes of photoelectric sensors or the magnetic gaps of Hall elements.
