Engine mounts, commonly referred to as engine beacket, serve as the core vibration-damping components installed between the engine and the vehicle chassis. They constitute critical wear parts within the automotive chassis suspension system. Their primary function is to stably transfer the engine's weight to the bodywork while simultaneously absorbing vibrations and noise generated during engine operation. This prevents direct transmission of vibrations into the passenger compartment, thereby ensuring driving smoothness and comfort.

Engine mounts are considered wear parts. Over time (typically 3-5 years or 50,000-80,000 kilometres), they may fail due to rubber ageing or hydraulic fluid leakage. Common issues include:

• Rubber ageing and cracking: Visible cracks, deformation, or detachment in the rubber components may occur, allowing engine vibrations to transmit directly to the bodywork and causing noticeable rattling noises within the cabin.
• Hydraulic fluid leakage: Rupture of the hydraulic mount's fluid chamber causes fluid seepage, drastically reducing damping effectiveness. This manifests as noticeable steering wheel and seat vibration during vehicle idling.
• Bracket deformation: Following collisions or prolonged heavy loading, the metal bracket may deform, causing engine misalignment. This can trigger transmission shift jerkiness and abnormal exhaust pipe noises.
